HFAY Season III

HFAY Season 3 has come to a close. With Hood breathing down my neck and a little bit of trouble during my July races I was a little concerned. I was actually certain that Hood had put enough of a gap on me in the final race that I would lose my third place spot in the final standings. When it was all said and done Hood beat me by a couple of laps in races 11 and 12 but I pulled enough laps that no one but Jeremy from DC was between me and Hood. One more place and it would have been a tie for third. In which case I think Hood would have taken the podium spot because I think tie breakers are settled by the score in the final race.

Another pleasant surprise was the fact that the DCGTG took the club championship. We have definitely developed as a club over the past year. I have driven with SoyVerde, The Ringer, CCSON and Arch more in over the last 18 months that I have ever raced with anyone else. It also helped that TallGeese and Matt came up to speed quickly. Unfortunately Soulstice can rarely stick around for our epic HFAY days but once he gets a little more free time I am sure he'll work his way into the pack.
